p/s: I miss the train today. The train door shut in front of my face. Was late to class :( Luckily one of my friend miss it as well. It wasn't my fault. My mum car broke down, so I have to go to the train station by my grandma's car. The journey was delayed.

Alexis Grace

Alexis was voted out last episode of American Idol 8. So sad, She was sent home. So sad. She is one of my favourite contestant in this season. :(

Lots of people were shocked about the result. Lots of people said Grace was one of my picks to make the final four. Even Ling Wei also thought she will be in the final. And she said her prediction is always true. (proved her wrong)

The week before, she was called the pint-sized Carrie-Underwood-wannabe.

This week, before the result was out, I thought the judges will definitely save her.

But guess what, Simon said to her "It was good, but it wasn't good enough". I was like WTF.

According to .... , The Judges' Save can only be used once and perhaps Cowell and company were scared enough by Wednesday's early shock to think this is going to be a year of weird results, and favourites Gokey, Lambert and Rounds may also be in the hot seat before this thing ends.

Look at her sad face...?? Feel like crying.. (I am not that emotional, ok..)

To Alexis (as if she would read this): Don't ever give up!! I will always support you till the end!!

Harmony Day

Harmony Day was on the 21st of March which last Saturday. On Friday, there were some people selling real yellow sunflower which costs $2 each in school. Harmony Day is a day to celebrate a commitment to harmony and mutual respect in a culturally diverse nation. The event's major objectives are focused on reducing racial prejudice and intolerance in Australia.

Last week, it was spirit week in my school. There were lots of activities.....
What is spirit week?
A week long celebration of what it means to be a Cheltenham Girl.

Monday:
Cake stall

Tuesday:
During roll call, you will find a piece of paper stuck under your table( if you are lucky) and you can go and get a present from the teacher.

Students form a pink ribbon symbol to support Breast Cancer awareness during spirit week. In order to be in the picture, you have to pay $1, I think.

Wednesday:
Mufti day (we get to wear casual to school)

There was a staff-student 'Beep Test' challenge. It's like a running competition.
The test involves running continuously between two points that are 20 m apart. These runs are synchronized with a pre-recorded audio tape, which plays beeps at set intervals. As the test proceeds, the interval between each successive beep reduces, forcing the athlete to increase velocity over the course of the test, until it is impossible to keep in sync with the recording.
The recording is typically structured into 23 'levels', each of which lasts around 63 seconds (the shortest level is level 16, lasting 60.45 seconds, the longest is level 2, lasting 67.8 seconds). Usually, the interval of beeps is calculated as requiring a speed at the start of 8.0 km/h, increasing by 0.5 km/h with each level. The progression from one level to the next is signaled by 3 rapid beeps. The highest level attained before failing to keep up is recorded as the score for that test.
The staff champion was a man Teacher!! Actually a girl teacher almost won the match but she trip over and fell down all of a sudden!! (Accident happens)

Thursday:
Funky ribbon Day!! Students wore funky ribbons on themselves!!

There was also a pie eating competition but I didn't went and watch it, neither did I enter that competition or else I would have been the winner. :P Entrance fee $2,

Friday:
Free sausages were given out to every student.. Each student can only get one but some of my friends got 3.. They said they got 8 last year. (they are such a good eater)

The problem in my last post has not been solved. will solve it tomorrow. *finger crossed*

Confused

I am really confused right now.



Choice A:

TAFE, MEODOWBANK

I am doing Accounting in TAFE, MEADOWBANK. The problem is Tafe, Meadowbank doesn't offer a summer course, which means The whole program will end next year somewhere during April. We will have a break from November 2009 till January 2010.



Choice B:

TAFE, HORNSBY

Tafe, hornsby offers a summer program for accounting which means the course will end at January 2010. So, we don't get holidays, which students from Tafe, Meadowbank will have. When we have our school holidays, I still have to go to Tafe, Hornsby. My course will finished before the school reopen next year.



The problem is I am in Tafe, Meadowbank now. If I change, I might not like the teacher in Tafe, Hornsby. Plus, we had a test already. I am afraid my marks won't go to Tafe, Hornsby.

Advices...Advices.......
I need some advices..... Please leave comments.........

We had our school photos taken on the 13th of March (yesterday).
I met my friend at the train station and she looked way different. Hair down....

Conversation between us:
Me: How come you look different?
Friend: Don't you know we will be getting our photos taken today?
Me: ya, Of course I know that. So?
Friend: Huh, what do you mean?
Me: ok, will everyone in school looks different??
Friend: ya
Me: OMG! ARE YOU KIDDING?? Please tell me you are kidding... PleASE
Friend: you will see when you reach school.

Once I reach school, guess what I heard??
Hey, give me back my lipstick.
Where is my mascara, Eyeliner??
Mirror!! Give me that mirror, Hurry up!!


And I was the only one who looked the same... And I console myself by saying: natural beauty is the best!!! (actually I am not the only one, all the new students looked the same)



We don't take group photos.. We only take individual photos and those photos are combined to a group photo by the photographer. to get a group photo, guess how much do I have to pay?? $22

Guess I have to go shopping for......... As the saying goes 'if you stay in Rome, do as the Romans do'.

Differences

What are the differences between Malaysia and Australia?
The most obvious thing is the toilet..

Toilets in Australia including public toilets, school toilets... are like the toilets in a 5 star hotel in Malaysia. There are toilet paper in every single one of the toilet in my school.

When my sis reached the campus in Tasmania, she called back and guess what was the first thing she said?? She said that the toilets in the campus is like toilets in a 5 star hotel.

That day, I had a conversation with my friend:

Friend: In China, the toilet is sucky!! We just practically pee into a hole. The first time I went there, I didn't know what was that hole for. And I almost stepped into that hole... And the toilet there stinks. There's no toilet paper and no toilet door. Toilets in Australia are the best!!

Me: I agree that the toilet stinks but I still prefer those squatting toilets so that my body will not have any contact with the toilet bowls.

Second obvious thing is the drivers:

I have never ever see this scene in Malaysia before.

But the divers in Australia are getting worst now. They have also started the culture of honking.

Shopping complex

Shopping complex in Australia usually closes at 5pm. Don't even have the chance to go out on weekdays. So boring.

Prefer the shopping complex in Malaysia. Get to watch midnight movies in the cinemas, shopping till 12am....

School

School in Australia have lockers. We can put our stuff in our lockers, but we have to pay $40 for it, so I don't own one, no money. :( Have to bring my books in and out of school everyday...:( So heavy.

Everyone in school brings their own lunch to school. Till now, I have not buy food from the canteen before.

Frustrated...

American Idol.....

I am currently addicted to American Idol Season 8 and the SIMS 2 Double Deluxe, which is kinda bad. :(

American Idol
Two contestants I like the most:




Her name is Alexis Grace. She is only 21 years old and she has a baby, Ryan Elizabeth. She is such a pretty mother. But my mum is prettier. :P Just found out, she tried for American Idol season 4 when she was 16, and season 6 when she was 19. She failed but did not give up. Like I did. opps, wrote the wrong thing, I have never failed before. :P

His name is Danny Gokey. He is 28 years old and his wife has passed away. I read someones blog yesterday, the post said that he joined American Idol AFTER his wife's death. Without a doubt, people will start voting for him because of that. (Sympathy votes count). Nah!! So what, he is a good singer anyway.

I will be having a listening practice for English tomorrow and the real test is on the Thursday. I HAVE TO DO WELL NO MATTER WHAT. So pray for me again.

Guess what I got for Maths?? I am not bragging.. I got 100%. :P

Accounting results will be out on Tuesday. Hope I do really well. So, pray for me again for the hundred time. :P

Split Personality

It is the first of March today, which means it is the first day of Autumn in Australia. And I just found out I have split personality.

First half of me: How is Autumn like?

It should be cold, leaves should be falling of trees.......

And, it should be like the picture above right??

But...

Wondering...

How come it's still warm, and the leaves is still green, flowers is still blooming.....

And it's still like that.....

Second half of me: Stupid of you, don't you know why??

Cause it's just day of Autumn. =.=" You just can't expect miracle to happen. Don't tell me before you go to sleep on the the last day of summer, the flowers are still blooming. And when you wake up on the next day which is the first day of Autumn, all the flowers are dead.....

OMG!! I think I need to see a psychiatrist and I don't have the money to do so... :(

Pray for me.... I have accounting exam tomorrow....
